I found out the problem my student has. he can't figure out the words without pictures. he told me the different teaching between buxiban and tutor. he like me to teach many times when he didn't realize. but he didn't know me worry about how about the situation he learn? I punish him write the words 20 times if he can't prounciate. I know this is not the good way. but it let me find out the way he learn. he write the letter 20 times by letter. of course he didn't prounciate it. i ask him to do visual aids. the vocabuaries we learned. to cut off the pictures on campiage or draw pictures himself. on the opposite write down words. the amaze thing is he learn a lot from this. then I speak out the sentences he had to find out the pictures and translate the sentences. the work is efforts. at that time I get feedback from him.
by Joy chou

buxiban teachers

teaching journal
I worked in buxiban before. This is my experiences. We are the ordinary buxiban not big chain language buxiban. before i work in buxiban. The English teacher are part time job. they don't need to stay in office. then class may be 2-4 classes every week. we don't have native teacher. the text books are rely on the teacher to decide. The teacher responsible for 1-5 grades. when I take over this work. my boss ask me to edit the text book . he hope we can use the book we edit by using copy machines. I tell him according to my experiences I don't have enough ability to edit our own textbook. We didn't jujst copy other's textbook. what a shame work. I suggested to buy the color textbook for low level students. he doesn't care. he just want to save money. he doesn't realize the situation. For the low level student the colofurl textbook are attractive than the black-white one.Buxiban didn't hold or let you attend activities. the classes are tied for teaching.
of course, if you are willing to improve teaching skill you will a lot of way to know the information. but too busy, and exhausted are the reason to lose opportunities. And who can make up for your class when you are attend the activities.
I feel exploitation even I got enough money at that time.
I don't think the buxiban teacher more creative than elementary teacher. who are likely to overwork ? The worksheep is useful for the related topics. For example,I read some story books online, then I will borrowed the books from wenzao Library to share with my students. and do the related mini book as their assignments.
I like to attend the training activities. The speeakers share a lot of experiences with us. the ideas how to attract students to learn English. Fu-Dong held a lot of activities( free charge). I just has attended activities on 21th Jan.
